All I’ve been craving for the past few weeks is chocolate muffins. So the other day when I made my banana nut muffins I was like these would be so simple to make into chocolate chip muffins. So you bet that’s exactly what I did.
I love anything chocolate and I also love anything banana so I had no doubt that these would be right up my alley and the answer to all my chocolate muffin cravings. Turned out I was right.
Just like my original banana nut muffins they are so perfectly moist and the chocolate flavor just sends these over the top. They are absolutely the perfect dessert, or for a morning you’re craving something sweet, or even just a quick snack in the afternoon.
It’s recipes like this that make it so easy for people to incorporate plant based food into their diets without even really trying. I think if someone thinks vegan muffin there first thought would be dry, tasteless, and weird. Instead you get a moist, flavorful, and not weird muffin. Honestly though. You don’t have to be a vegan to enjoy this. It’s almost not a vegan recipe as much as just a recipe that happens to not have any dairy or eggs in it.
You could take these to a baby shower, a pot luck, brunch, or anywhere really and I’m sure they would be a hit with everyone and people wouldn’t think twice about how to “label” these muffins.
So trust me the next time you have some ripe bananas that need to be eaten just whip up some of these muffins. Luckily the rest of the ingredients are staples most people have at home so it probably won’t even require an extra trip to the store. Yes, chocolate chips are a staple pantry item.
If you do try this or any other recipe, let me know! Leave a comment and don’t forget to take a picture and tag it #modernlittlevictories on Instagram! I’d love to hear what you think and what you create in your kitchen.
