Blended Green Juice (Vegan + Gluten Free)

I’m going to keep this one short and sweet just like this recipe. This blended green juice is something you need in your life if you can’t be bothered to actually use a juicer. And by use I mean clean.

I really like fresh green juice but I don’t really have any intention on buying a juice mostly because I know they are a pain to clean and also I feel like a lot of the best parts of the fruits and vegetables (like the fiber) get tossed out when you use a regular juicer.

I had a craving for green juice though and I just really wanted something that wasn’t as thick and “heavy” as a smoothie. I happened to have some amazing tangerines and kale, and banana, so I was like well I’m just going to try it.

I put the fruit and kale into my blender cup and just filled it to max capacity with liquid and that was that. It’s obviously not your regular juice but it did the trick and it was incredibly delicious.

I’ve made it over and over again since I tried it the first time and I can’t wait to try a few different versions and see how they work out.

Ingredients

  • 2 ribs kale de-stemmed
  • 1 tangerine/orange
  • 2-3 frozen strawberries
  • half a banana
  • 24 oz water/coconut water

Instructions

  1. Fill your blender with all ingredients. Blend on high until everything is blended.
  2. Add ice cubes or chill before serving.
