Current Must Have Essential Oils No.4

Hi friends! It’s time for another little round up of my current favorite essentiall oils. These all have a bit of a holiday/December theme to them and they are ones that I feel are pretty helpful during this time of the year. I really love the things that remind me of Christmas and that includes the smells we associate with it. These are a few oils that will bring you a little comfort during this month whether you celebrate Christmas or any other holiday!

Holiday Joy

I love this blend so much. This is the first year I have used it but I have been diffusing this in my house non stop this month. It’s warm and comforting and it smells just like Christmas. I’m a bit sensitive to clove and by that I mean I absolutely hate clove so at first that was a little overwhelming for me but I’ve gotten used to it. I can pick up the hints of other things in the blend as well like the wild orange and the cinnamon. This blend is perfect to diffuse in your house to fill it with the joy and comforts of the holiday season.

-Put 5 drops in a diffuser
-Combine in diffuser with 1-2 drops frankincense
-Apply topically with unscented lotion or fractionated coconut oil

Is there ever a more appropriate oil for this time of year than Frankincense? It’s the king of oils for a reason. The very first time I smelt frankincense I was instantly reminded of the weekends in church when they would burn the incense. I wasn’t crazy about the smell as a kid but now I really enjoy the smell of frankincense. I tend to be very precious about my use of it though because it’s so expensive but it is pretty magical. Lately I’ve been diffusing it and also taking one drop a day in a veggie cap. Frankincense is known to help support healthy cellular function and promote feelings of peace and relaxation.

-Take 1-2 drops in a veggie cap to support and nourish your entire body.
-Combine 2-3 drops with 3-4 drops of both lemon and lavender in your diffuser to help calm you down.
-Place one drop of frankincense, wild orange, and peppermint in your hand and inhale deeply to boost your mood and energy.

If there is one thing for certain about the holidays it’s that people can find themselves extremely overwhelmed even on the best days. People get extra busy and extra stressed this time of year so this blend is a good one to have in your back pocket this time of year. It mixes florals and mints to create a reassuring blend that’s sure to ease your mind and calm you. You can get this in a pre-diluted roller ball like I have or you can buy the oil itself to use in a diffuser and such.

-Roll onto the palm of your hands and inhale when feeling stressed or anxious.
-Diffuse at night to help promote restful sleep.
-Roll on the bottom of your feet before mediating to help promote calmness.

Undiluted oils may cause reactions if you have sensitive skin. If you are using oils topically be sure to make sure you won’t have any reactions to them. If they are too strong for you then use them with a carrier oil (such as fractionated coconut oil) to dilute them. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas.
