Current Must Have Essential Oils No. 3

Hi stranger friends! These are a few of the oils I’ve been reaching for pretty often these days. I love how versatile oils always are but these are a few of the best that have so many different uses.

Melaleuca (Tea Tree Oil)

Okay I have a confession to make about this oil, I can not stand the smell. Like, I actually kind of hate the smell of it. Which doesn’t seem like something I should be saying when trying to tell you it’s a really great oil but actually I think the fact that even though I don’t like the way it smells the fact that I still use it says a lot about how great it is. I had a little infection on one of my fingers one time and after a couple of days of putting a few drops of this on it throughout the day it cleared right up. That was one of my very first experiences with this oil and I could not believe how incredible it was. It boasts purifying properties that help internally and or aromatically. Lately I’ve been reaching for it for spots on my face. It’s so annoying when you keep breaking out but just a little dab of this on those spots dries them up quickly.

– For occasional skin irritations, apply 1–2 drops of Melaleuca oil onto affected area.

-Combine 1–2 drops with your facial cleanser for added cleansing properties, or apply to skin after shaving to prevent razor burn.

-Add 1-2 drops to a veggie cap to enhance immunity.

-Use 3-4 drops in your diffuser

Lemon oil is one of my go to oils all the time. There is just so much that lemon brings to the table. Literally! I mean you can use it to clean your tables. Lemon has some serious cleansing properties and you can use it as a non-toxic household cleanser. It’s also great to put a few drops in your water to take internally. I use it combined with lavender and peppermint to help with seasonal discomfort. I also use it with purify in my diffuser to help freshen and cleanse the air when needed.

-Add Lemon oil to a glass spray bottle of water to clean tables, countertops, and other surfaces.

-Add 1-2 drops to some olive oil and drizzle over roasted vegetables.

-Put a few drops in your garbage disposal to get rid of nasty smells.

-Add 1-2 drops to warm water with honey to start your day or to help soothe a sore throat.

-Diffuse with peppermint to help brighten the mood in a room.

This is a blend specifically meant for cleaning and purifying so while lemon and melaleuca have those properties this one is meant specifically for that. It’s a favorite of mine for that reason. I know if I want to get something clean or freshen something I can reach for this one. I love putting it in my diffuser often. It also helps to make a great yoga mat cleaner.

-Add 5 drops to a small spray bottle with water and use to wipe down countertops.

-Use to soothe away irritations from bug bites.

-Add a few drops to the rinse cycle when doing laundry to help eliminate odor.

-Diffuse to purify and freshen the air.
