Smoothies are by far my favorite breakfast when I really can’t be bothered to actually eat or make a proper meal. Which, lets be honest, is often. Especially in the summer time when it’s hot and my appetite tends to disappear a little because heat is not my favorite thing. Smoothies on the other hand are one of my favorite things.
I totally wish there were a way to turn all kinds of meals into smoothie form. They are just so easy and mess free and portable. All good things that make life a little easier. Alright now that I think about it I don’t really think I would want to eat a sandwhich that had turned into a smoothie. It just wouldn’t work. I guess for those types of meals I need to wait for the Willy Wonka three-course meal chewing gum to be invented. I mean as long as you could still get your nutritional needs out of it, of course. That’s the dream.
I think I lost the plot. Oh yeah. Smoothies. This one is one of my favorites it’s creamy and has just the right amount of sweetness. Even though I didn’t add it in when I took the pictures I tend to always add spinach to it if I have it on hand. Spinach in smoothies is the perfect way to get your leafy greens without even knowing they are there. You can also add in chia seeds for an added boost of protein.

Cherry Coconut Smoothie
- ½ cup cherries
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 1 banana
- 8 oz coconut milk
- optional add ins: spinach chia seeds
Add all ingredients into a blender and blend on high until smooth.
